Also here is a site with all sorts of tutorials on the Basic Level for 3ds Max .... pretty much the same functions as Gmax ......

These should help you get started to better understand how Gmax will work....
Man... I really need to open up Gmax again and start trying to model .... every time I open it up I just get ..... lol ...... pretty much at a loss as to what I really want to make... usally I just have a lot of stuff that is already good enough for me and I do not need to add more... or I can not think to add more..... so I guess I will just make odds and Ends and see what pops out of it all.

About the XF-85: I can't imagine what it looks like, but I don't believe that it actually can fly. It looks like something that can't fly. May be like goblin...

I think that anything with enough thrust can fly .... or just be propelled by the thrust and if it has enough speed and airflow over some sort of wing that can control the movement... then I would call that flying ....
