Well, I've seen it and want to see how the American VAs compare to their Japanese counterparts, generally I have not got too great hopes for the Americans.

Certainly better than The Spirits Within.

My comment : It RAWKS!

I heard they were trying to get the same voice actor for Cloud that was used for the Kingdom Hearts Cloud. I don't know whether that's a good or bad thing from the point of view of others on here, but I personally liked the voice actor used in Kingdom Hearts and have been hoping for a while that they'd use him.

When you consider how large a role limit breaks played in the game, of course they were going to be included in the movie to some degree or another...

They weren't that much of a role in the game. They weren't mentioned out of battle at all really unless you got a bloke talking to you about how to play the game.

I dunno, I usually find american counterparts better as I sometimes find it hard to get into a movie when the lead male sounds more feminine than the female characters. Though these guys did real well for VAs.

Oh and what's wrong with spirits within, sure it wasn't based on an FF, but when has there ever been continous story to the FF's.

Well, if not major, at least memorable.

X/X-2, and the Compilation of FF7... Razz (you didn't specifically state continuous through all the FFs)

I have a bad alergic reaction to 75% of American accents. Okay, I actually mean to say that I find that the majority of VAs in America have accents that I find really annoying.

I said it's better than, I did not mean to imply that Spirits within was bad, just not as good.

Well ya but most people seem to look at spirits within as a very horrible movie, which I never understood.

I can't remember TSW that well so I can't actually pass judgement on it, but AC looks fucking sweet.

Yah, it was very good. A good continuation to the whole thing. I'm going to have to watch it over again though because I missed some parts of the story out. Watching a subbed japanease film on your computer isn't generally a good thing to do when you're looking after your three-year-old cousin, despite the shiny swords and people with gunarms.

Besides that, the movie was worth watching just for Vincent. The cape thing he did was brilliant.

Also it was nice to see how that they included materia and BAHAMUT!

Anyone else watched Last Order? It's quite cool watching the events of FF7 in anime form.

Last Order was good, i like how it links together BC with the original, along with the emphasis on Zack which helps explain those who didn't pay enough attention in the original about why Zack is such an important figure to Cloud in AC...

Not to mention how Cloud freaks Sephi out by running himself further up his sword... that was cool.

meh the illegality of it all :p

Zack was whacked cos he basically looked like Cloud in the game.

Since Cloud lied and claimed to be SOLDIER he sort of became Zack, probably why Aeris like him >_<

Discussion isn't illegal AG. Wink
The ways in which we aquired the movies could be but that's a mere techinicallity... Plus I'd assume most people posting about it will actually be purchasing it at some point.
