I decided to give the Firefox 3 betas a try, but since I started using them I noticed a huge slowdown of Sleipnirstuff. Scrolling is painfully slow and results in a spike of FF's CPU use to well over 50%. Has anyone else noticed this?

I've been running truck builds for upwards of a year, and haven't ever noticed any issues. What OS are you running, and any extensions?

Running Windows XP, no extensions (cause none of them will work in FF 3 yet).

I installed 3b3 under XP and don't see the problems you're describing. It sounds like a firefox issue on your end. Do you have similar issues with any other sites?

Just as it was loading the page, I noticed that the speed was fine until it loaded the background - then it started lagging again as I scrolled the page. I was using the Spaced Out theme, so I tried switching to Red&Black and suddenly there was no more lag.

So I guess there is something in FF3 that is causing tremendous slowdown with transparent backgrounds.

I've been suffering from crazy CPU usage while browsing the net for ages, whats stranger is that i defragged last night, and, ZOMFG the difference was incredable.
