I decided to give the Firefox 3 betas a try, but since I started using them I noticed a huge slowdown of Sleipnirstuff. Scrolling is painfully slow and results in a spike of FF's CPU use to well over 50%. Has anyone else noticed this? _________________ CodeCat

I've been running truck builds for upwards of a year, and haven't ever noticed any issues. What OS are you running, and any extensions? _________________

Running Windows XP, no extensions (cause none of them will work in FF 3 yet). _________________ CodeCat

I installed 3b3 under XP and don't see the problems you're describing. It sounds like a firefox issue on your end. Do you have similar issues with any other sites? _________________

Just as it was loading the page, I noticed that the speed was fine until it loaded the background - then it started lagging again as I scrolled the page. I was using the Spaced Out theme, so I tried switching to Red&Black and suddenly there was no more lag.
So I guess there is something in FF3 that is causing tremendous slowdown with transparent backgrounds. _________________ CodeCat
