OK um I have an alpha texture (black & white) and i want to paint all the white color(space) and ignore all the black colors(details). i don't want to ruin my skin's Details you know. anyone knows hoe to do that in photoshop?

On Photoshop elements 7 is it possible to colour in a hand drawn picture? I've recently got photoshop elements and I want to try colouring in one of my hand drawn anime pictures. I know i haven't got photoshop Cs4 which is recommended but i couldn't afford it.
