Natalie's request
Tushara springs
The air, is cold, but that's not the only thing. The whole mountainside is covered in snow and forests of trees that are rather pinelike (and for the purposes of this arena I'll call pines), except where the strange projections of the stranger yet springs prevent the snow from settling and the trees from taking hold. A flow of water springs from the tops of these projections, giving the whole crystal like structure a glistening appearance in the cold light. The strage feature of these springs is that the water that seeps from them is colder than the air around it and at the base of many of these springs is a ring of ice that slowly changes over the years.
Stranger still is the positioning of the springs, they form a rough circle on the lower slopes of the mountain that has been named Mount Shiita, the center of the circle is the verk peak of the mountain. Nobody has ever venture to the very top of this mount, originally because it was way too dangerous, steep and cold, later because it wasn't big enough to matter and had gathered a religous sect that forbade people from venturing to the top of their holy mountain. Lately the occupants just haven't been bothered, it isn't very significant and the springs are a lot more interesting anyway. Consequently nothing is known about the top, wreathed in cloud and unreached. The pine forests give up around half way and the snow covers a little more, but stops at around the three quarters mark.
At night, the scene is very different, sparks of dim light rise lazily into the clouds, if one were to rise above the clouds, you would seem them slowly change direction and float towards the peak of the mountain, nobody has so far discovered the cause or significance of this phenomenon though. Some have speculated that it might be a flow of magic, but if that was true, wouldn't the flow be in reverse to what it is now?
(the actual summit is up to you Natalie, I have my own ideas for it, but I know that it's likely that these might now be in line with what you plan for it, but if you want to know what I think, just ask me about it)
I feel an explanation of the two names Tushara and Shiita is needed. They are both based on Sanskrit, the first is a rather corrupted form of the word Tushhuura for Ice or Snow, Shiita means Cold. _________________

Fitting for the Mytics; mystical.
Very nice CL, bear in mind, chances are I'll create my Mystics into a nice story sooner or later, and these arenas will get more use than you might have expected. The top of the summit leaves some nice ideas, so I'll make those up later.
Care to take a try at creating the area south of Rootville?
-Warmer climate, but the eternal night of Chateau Aigulle still reaches here
-Rains frequently, more so than in Rootville
-More and more trees the farther up you go until they just stop about 5 miles outside of Rootville and the Valley of Khargathalan to the farther south
-Hilly, very few signs of civilization
-The Chateau itself and its accompanying spotlights are very clearly visible from most of the area
I leave the rest of it up to you, great work as usual.
Also, here is the surprise at the summit.
Mount Shiita's Summit-Mosperi Sky Fortress
At the top of this mysterious mountain, lies something unexpected. In years past, the Mosperians have gained great reknown for making fortresses in almost inhospitable areas, such as Mosperiburg itself, and here lies a perfect example. Called a Mosperi Sky-fortress, this strange stone/metallic structure looms above the mountain's summit and rises into the sky, where there is only calm. Only accessible by airship, the sky-fortress itself hovers over the summit by use of riding on a mix of the magical energies in the area, the wind currents, and its own prop driven engines. The edges of the fortress has pulsar turrets mounted on the sides, and the bottom, with larger neutronic cannons mounted towards the top and on the highest tower. Deep inside of this huge fortress is mounted a darklight generator, which literally creates a dark spot above the clouds no more than five miles around. This, added to the eerie set of spotlights that sweep the areas, make the place a creepy sight from the deck of any lost airship. The insides are dotted in passages leading around from the top deck to the lower decks, which lead to catwalks around the outside of the sky-fortress. The command center itself is located in the center of its armored hull, just adjacent to the crew quarters, armory, and mess hall. The generators for the massive props on the bottom lie just above the engines themselves, and power not only the props but all the lighting on the ship as well. The top deck is covered in armored emplacments and defenses, making it an ideal bunker hell for the unlikely raiding party. Typically, it is filled with Mosperi soldiers and Mystics commanders, over 1500 at peak capacity, but for some odd reason, its deserted.
Normally you could reach the sky-fortress from the summit, but now the fort has increased altitude and the only way up is the long wire poles and comm towers that jut up from the concrete pad below. These poles and wires keep the fort stabilized and keep it from moving from side to side in the huge headwinds of the sky...and it can be quite dangerous to get in from this way. _________________ [listeningto] |

Well, someone's been busy with levels.
I've got a request myself.
It's a huge swamp that holds a great secret (This secret is quite subjective), the swamp is the place Enigma used to guard, it's basically miles and miles of damp, muddy, vegatated grossness. See what you can do. _________________ "Faster than the speed of sound,

Gudha Swamp
Trudging wilderness, knee deep in mud, half decomposed plants and maybe a tiny bit of water as far as you can see. The few landmarks that break the surface of this swamp are usually undulations that manage to rise above the water level or the stone ruins of a long lost civilisations building. Perhaps there was a city or somesuch here, but all that remain of it are these stone ruins in the middle of an almost deserted swamp. I say almost deserted because a being used to guard something here, the being used to guard that something so well that now that its master is dead nobody knows what it is, save himself, but then again maybe even he didn't...... only he can tell. The secret is contained in one of the 5 major ruins that are spaced roughly evenly around the interior of the swamp, but which is unknown.
Now Natalie's
The Kandah mansion
What foul or benign cause built this structure originally is unknown, but what is now left can be defined as the cadaver of a building. Not many of the interior workings are shown to the outside, but the wear and tear on the exterior from the almost continual downpour shows how long the building has been abandoned. What superstition and horror started, strange happenings and weird circumstances continued and disrepair finished.
The mansion has never had owners for very long and now seems destined to never have any more, as plans for it demolishing have long been gaining favour, but for now have been continually overturned. The main portion of the house is built on the basic principles of long ago with more recent additions bringing the old base up to more recent fashions, the most prominent being the additons of the era that the peoples of Earth would know as Georgian as it was during that time that most of the other changes were removed. However, after those changes were made the building fell into disownership after horrible deeds were discovered to have been committed in the crypts and cellars below the building. And subsequent owners have all complained about hearing rats scurry through the walls at night, and those that managed to eventually break through the barriers went mad soon after.
The house has two wings that jut inwards onto the courtyard with a fountain that is not in good condition, nor works. Around this lies an empty circle of gravel for vehicles to park on and the semitended gardens that normal accompany such a large house. The back of the house is taken up mainly with a large hedge maze that will last no more than a few seconds in a major firefight and a pleasant walk through several wooden constructions that have a similar firefight lifetime estimate over the main part of the gardens, and I mean over as the thing is suspended a good five feet off the ground on reiforced wooden struts. The whole mansion is on the flattened top of a small hill and the interior is decorated in dark hues of Green and Yellow, with the occasional smattering of Blue added into the mix.
Gudha = Strange, Mysterious
Kandah = Root _________________

Excellant! I might have some more arenas for you to make once I map out the farther southern reaches of Facinaturu (which will involve more airborne things, since deserts down there would be searing hot). _________________ [listeningto] |

And I'll eventually get to making a stage for each of my important characters.

This goes with a recent form of mine.
Marautie Great Forest
A giant battle area, so large it encompasses an area of about thiry square miles! As you can guess from the name, the location is a fairly large forest, sporting large shrugs, rocks, trees....wildlife, and other forestly familiarities, like streams, and caves. The area shifts between day and night every twelve hours or so, and magic is shunted in strength because of nature's own magic at work. The terrain below the tree branches is mostly hilly and grassy, with heavy underbrush as you go deeper into the forest--where it also gets darker and filled with more foliage. You can easily gain more ground, or reach cliff areas from climbing tree branches, which can be fairly solid or fairly weak, depending on the tree and the weight of the climber. However, there are less branches the higher you go, so be prepared for a nasty fall if you miss one!
For those that know the area, it instantly becomes a tactical paradise, containing many great sniping spots and even more ambush points. _________________ [listeningto] |

Apogee of the rondure
Weightless, hovering, floating, falling..... Towards one of the many smooth, reflective spheres of varying size that hold position - despite attempts to to contrary - in this area. These spheres are the only solid surfaces within sight and you float slowly towards the nearest, when you reach it you get spun around so that your feet make contact, and you can walk over it, down always being towards its center, and it is down that you are pulled. Like iron drawn to a magnet you are drawn to these spheres. Until you jump, at which point all gravity simply vanishes for you and you rocket out into space, only to slow soon and move towards a nearby sphere.
Edit:
Okay, a few notes about arena requests.
I don't have too much time during the week, so I'll take whatever you send to me and make a reminder of it in Outlook, schedule a reminder for 00:00 Saturday morning and leave it until then. It does mean you'll have to wait a while to get it done, but I really can't do homework (like I actually do it, but still) and other things at the same time as making arenas. I may get a few done during the week but that's not gonna be likely.
Now I will only accept PMs or IM convos, posting the request up here just doesn't cut it! _________________

hmm so this is the arena topic... interesting.
I´ll post one since I´ve also revised my chaos Dragon .
Valhalla Castle, Home of the Pariah:
A floating, magically built castle on a errand asteroid that travels through planetary systems. Here lie all beings who, one way or another, desire to get out of Everything. The air is breathable, and there are normal gravitic conditions. Lava pits are seen on the ground levels, and a nice space landscape on the upper levels. Although there is life support, it´s a desolated place where the peril is constant. If you drop over an edge...
you are dead, since there will be no longer life support for you! _________________ Your gods, your demons are insignificant to me.

Keero's Arena (I'll be PMing it to him as well)
Nu-25 Bunker
Ice, dust, and steel. Whatever tragedy befell this nuclear bunker left few traces uncovered by ice.
The main entrance is a thick multilayered door that is almost impervious to everything, including the blast of a thermonuclear warhead. The outer walls are all metres thick and have many lead plates interspersed through their construction for more protection. It opens into a spacious bay large enough for almost an entire tank division to park in! From the far corners of the bay two parallel corridors run further into the frozen ground, along these are doors into the variety of rooms that are needed to support a population for months on end. The main door is guarded by popup and popout turrets, powered by a seperate generator to the rest of the base. They can be activated and controlled by a control center just off to the right from the main door when coming in, anyone can activate them, but getting them not to target you or your allies takes a bit of knowledge.
Much of this eerily abandonned base has no been taken over by ice after a great weather change. It seals off some passages, especially those leading to and around the control center for the automated defence guns.

One of many to come in my "Old World Laconia" set. To some, this stage might seem familiar...
Red Mountain/Ashland Wastes
An old, dead volcano discovered in 1342 C.E. by an unfortunate Laconian exploration party on an obscure island in the seas west of the mainlands. This strange mountain emits a constant rain of ash and fog called "Blighter Fog". The Blighter Fog is very much deadly, forcing the explorers into mindless zombies within a week's constant exposure. Because the fog and ash constantly rain on the area, not only does the sky take a red hue, but visibility is very low. Magma flows are a hazard to watch out for while traversing the cracked and sloped landscape around the volcano itself. Deep inside the crater lies a set of ruins...for some reason, the fog seems to be blowing right out of it, but the only door leading in seems blocked by some strange metallic element, preventing all access, and the hole in flooded with magma. Because the Blighter Fog was expanding from the island, the old knights of Laconia had the area sealed within a magical forcefield wall, which surrounded the entire mountain, keeping the fog in check. This was back in 1702 C.E. The base has long been abandoned and the strange mutated creatures infected from the Blighter Fog roam the island, making it a deathtrap for any who step foot there. The fog also causes disease and poison effects in other creatures, like Laconians, making them either go mad or lose strength until something mutated comes along and kills them. Several hours exposure can weaken any type of organism, and the lack of cover means you had better leave the fog's vicinity fast. the areas outside the magical barrier around the mountain are desolate deserts, no rain falls and the sun rarely shines on this dead zone... _________________ [listeningto] |

Red rock
As far as the eye can see, a barren wasteland. Redness, as that of blood, the colour of war. This is Mars. Arid, slightly too cool and rocky. Inhospitable and extreterrestrial. However, you can breath, just about.
The plains stretch for miles in every direction, cut ocasionally by a trench left by what might have been a river, or a glacier. Rocks of all sizes are strewn over this world like the floor of a rich baby. They range from ginaormous to tiny and all are made of the same, dull red iron ore. A planet of the metal decay, blood and battle. _________________

Daedric Ruin
Situated in an ash-covered plain, the looming Daedric Ruins of Ashurnaptibiti take up the landscape, with only a few grey ash hills surrounding the dead zone around the ruin. The sky here is dark red, contrasting lightly with the stonework-red metal alloyed ruin walls.
On the outer sections, the metal walls rise up high, but do not have a ceiling, simply enclosing the entrance. The entrance itself is a small oval door, taller than it is wide, made of the same metal alloy as the entire ruin is. The insides contain sharp walls with decorative red runes carved into the base stonework-red wall color. The hallways twist and turn, ending up near a set of lava caves far below, or at the shrine itself, a large two-story section with a balcony and a huge stone stature of Nchuleft in the center. The insides are hauntingly scary, and only those with another person, or with enough courage can stay within without fleeing. Voices and screams occasionally echo from the walls, whispering, plotting, placing bets on who can take your spirit away first after you die.
The corridors are foggy as well, with green fog hanging over the main floors, and a red fog(Blight fog) covering the lower lava caves. All who enter will know instantly that they aren't alone... _________________ [listeningto] |
