|
|
In an equal ore situation on a map like Seaside or a longer game on convergence that has led to a stale mate there is literally nothing the soviets can do to turn the game in their favor. A good allies player will shut down your migs rather quickly with AA and longbows, will be able to use their arties in combination with aircraft to stop your v2, and stop any heavy tank attacks with ease as well. On top of all this you'll have to defend against chrono attacks on your base, deal with them chroning your heavies to them to kill and having no idea where the hell to launch your nuke because the entire Allied base is covered in shroud.
Something needs to be done to address this. Soviets need a late game buff of some sort, they don't need demo trucks nerfed because bad players cant defend against them and they don't need a volkov nerf because bad players can't handle defending against more than one.
To sum it up
Soviets need:
*A viable way to break the stale mate. The only two ways they could do was with iron curtain apc full of volkovs which was expensive and risky and demo trucks which got nerfed to hell because its too hard to defend against them ((( (1 minute build time, slow as fuck and die in one hit who's idea was this? The demo is the new tesla tank)
*A real counter to the chronosphere. Curtain doesn't cut it. Perhaps replace the curtain with an EMP to shut down GAPS, hostile tanks, and enemy defenses.
*A buffed spy plane, bigger reveal, less of a timer, and a reveal for a longer time
*The ability to select the way the plane drops it's paratroops. The exact same way Call Of Duty addressed the airstrike issue is the way to address this. It's retarded how you're at the mercy of the RNG gods when using your paratroopers. RNG shouldnt play a big role in an RTS.
Any other suggestions on how to fix soviets feel free to post em here! |

| The map is the problem. Seaside is an old map which was created when the game was balanced differently. Try playing on some more open maps with fewer chokepoints. |

Demo truck(s) to take out the mines, follow immediately by your tanks.
Iron curtain an APC filled with shock troopers or Volkov's, get it past the enemies artillery/mines and then use the infantry.
Just a couple suggestions I've heard from people. Not disagreeing with you at all. |

Actually in Counterstrike expansion there is this mission "Personal War" where soviets dropped to Little Boys (hehe, Im funny.) to one allied base(?). |
